Bio Plastic

Creation of Bio Plastic via the Hydrothermal Process

Wood chips or plant waste material can be processed in our Hydrothermal Resource Recycling System (HRRS) to produce a wood powder that is used to create Bio Plastic. This Bio Plastic is much safer for the environment, than regular plastic. The CO2 footprint for producing plastic is drastically deduced as well.

Flow chart for the production of Bio-plastic

Wood Waste

Wood or plant waste is collected from various sources. The moisture content of the wood determines how much steam would be needed for the process. Higher moisture content will require a greater amount of
steam.

① Crushed with Crusher

The wood or plant waste is fed into a crusher to prepare it for the Hydrothermal Treatment Process.

② Hydrothermal Treatment

Treated Product (Pulverised Woodchips)

5 Cubic Meter Resource Recycling System (RRS)

The wood chips are fed into the Hydrothermal Resources Recycling System and is ready to be processed. The end result is pulverized wood powder. There might be some wood chips left, so it is fed thru a separator which will separate the powder from the wood chips. The remaining wood chips will be mixed with the next batch of wood chips.

③ Plasticization

Plastic Mixing Machine

The wood powder is fed into a mixing machine that adds a plastic compound or another resin to the wood.

④ After Mixed with Plastic or another Resin

After the mixing process, pallets are produced, which may be sold to molding companies for the production of commercialized products. Depending on the application, various ratios of wood, plastic and resin may be required.

⑤ Molded Products ready for Commercialization

There are various applications available for this kind of Bio Plastic. From car bumpers, to bio degradable and fertilized pots for new trees. There is a huge market for Bio Plastic. If you consider that 70% – 100% of the
Bio Plastic is made from plant and wood waste, then this is clearly quite a profitable business.
